Malole Surf House is located on the powder white sands of Nemberala Beach, Rote Island, directly in front of the world class left hand surf break known as “T-land”. It has easy access to many more breaks. Enjoy the waves and beaches of beautiful Rote Island with world class comfort and International cuisine.

Designed and created by surfing legend Felipe Pomar (1965 World Surf Champion) and long-time Rote resident, Diego Arrarte, the lodge design pays homage to indigenous Rotenese building techniques and was created for the sole purpose of enjoying and sharing Rote’s incredible surf.

The facilities allow you to lay back all day, overlooking one of Indonesia’s most spectacular white sand beaches kissed by a wide turquoise bay or stay active, surfing, boating, biking, snorkeling in crystal clear waters or enjoying the stunning beauty of small uninhabited islands.

You’ll enjoy the healthiest, most flavorsome food found on the island, all created by Argentine chef Maria Pineiro. Her International menu includes Spanish tapas, sashimi and famous Argentine barbecue.

A resident surf guide will make sure you’re at the right spot at the right time and introduce you to epic waves, this captivating island and its charming, hospitable people.

Loosely based on the thatched lontar homes Rotenese people have lived in for centuries, Malole Surf House is built with local, natural materials to take advantage of cool offshore breezes. The resort accommodates a maximum of 10 guests.

A 25ft fibreglass hulled boat with twin 40hp outboards provides surf transfers.
